people is also defined by its festivals: they pertain to the culture
of leisure, entertainment, and participation. They are often a
part of tradition and history. The passage of time has changed
many habits and extinguished many customs, but festivals are kept
alive and modified to adapt to new circumstances.

for channelling personal and collective expression and expansion.

religious, civic, or simply for fun. There are all kinds of festivals,
in all sorts of settings and to suit every fancy.
