Lleida Communcations
The city of Lleida has, since 2003, the connection with the AVE railway line which will link the peninsula with Europe.
By train or by road, Sevilla, Madrid, Zaragoza (and
very soon Barcelona) or Europe are nearer and nearer Lleida, the
capital city of inland Catalonia.
It is provided with a modern network, led by the high-speed railway
line (AVE) and the road network: the A-2 motorway, which runs
via Lleida between the cities of Barcelona and Zaragoza, the Eix
Occidental, which takes you to Delta de l'Ebre, and the Eix Transversal,
which is bound for Girona regions. This crossroad feature will
be soon enhanced by the construction of the freeway Lleida-Huesca.
The city is easily communicated with the rest
of the territory: the N-230 to Vall d' Aran and to Vall de Boí
or the C-1313, which goes through inland regions as far as Seu
d'Urgell and Andorra.
