The waters of Menorca are ideal for water sports: sailing, diving, windsurfing, water-skiing, and sport fishing. Sailing is the king of them all, with regattas organized by the Clubs Náuticos of Ciutadella and Fornells and the Club Marítimo of Maó.
Yachtsmen are welcome in the harbours of Ciutadella,
Maó, and Fornells, all of which have berths and moorings
available and offer a full range of services. Those who sail along
the Menorcan coast enjoy exceptionally clear waters and an enchanting
shoreline, with innumerable coves, inlets, nooks and beaches.
Equestrian sports are also traditional and deeply rooted, with
an indigenous race of fine black saddle horses, especially suitable
for trail riding, and touring. Various clubs and organizations
offer horses for hire, excursions with guides, and riding lessons.
Visitors can also attend spectacular shows of Menorcan horsemanship.
Menorca has a golf course in the Son Parc development in Es Mercadal.
Other options include bicycle excursions and flying and motoring
activities at the Real Aeroclub de Mahón-Menorca.
