Route of the Castles
The route of the castles starts in Albacete
city, going ahead towards Jaén on the N-322 A-road (which
combines rocks, water, pines and history) as far as Alcaraz and
Riópar fortresses. Tourists may return to Albacete on the
CM-412 B-road ahead towards Elche de la Sierra, if they want to
visit Ayna and Peñas de Sampedro; or continue to Yeste
and Nerpio and return to Albacete going through Socovos. Another
interesting option is the route on the N-322 ahead towards Valencia.
If we turn off Mahora village ahead towards Jorquera village,
we will arrive to Alcalá del Júcar village and Villa
del Ves village by the curved Júcar river. Choosing this
route, tourists may go on CM-3201 B-road in order to visit Almansa
and Chinchilla castles, both located in another big route on Madrid-Valencia
dual carriageway.
