Valvanera - Cañas
This route will start visiting a cellar of Denomination of Origen, to get to know the particular elaboration and ageing of their wines, once tasted it will give us an extra boost to carry on up the river Najerilla where we will arrive at the Valvanera Monastery.
Nice views from the valley and hills of the Demanda are the great places to enjoy the place and quiet that you can breathe there.
The Benedictine monks from Valvanera are very well-known because of their hospitality and for their popular cuisine; They make wonderful liquors which will help us to digest well.
We will leave Valvanera to go to Cañas, whose abbey, built in the XII century, has a small museum with pictures, relics, altarpieces that are carefully kept by the enclosed nuns.
