Alhaurín Golf & Club Hípico
This course is situated right in the heart of the
Costa del Golf, at the foot of the Mijas mountains, in the municipality
of Alhaurin El Grande from which the course takes its name.
Designed by Severiano Ballesteros, the course fits the terrain
like a glove and respects the natural lie of the land, so its
is a very uneven course. The fairways are long and narrow which
means you will need to hit an accurate drive if you don’t
want to end up in the water hazards or the numerous bunkers and
bushes. Having said that, the level of difficulty of the course
can be adapted to all levels because of the versatile nature of
the tees which offer up to 6 tee-off positions.

Atalaya Golf & Country Club has two splendid
18-hole courses, the Old Course and the New Course. As its name
indicates, the Old Course is the earliest, and was inaugurated
in 1968. The club lies between Estepona and Marbella and apart
from the two 18-hole courses it also offers one of the biggest
practice courses in Spain where golf classes are taught in a variety
of languages.
The Old Course offers an entertaining round which is not particularly
difficult, with fast greens and beautiful views.

Baviera Golf
Situated in the foothills of the Sierra de la Almijara
mountain range, in a valley with an ideal microclimate for a game
of golf.The course has 18 holes of which 9 under construction.
The main feature of the first 9 holes is the fairly even terrain,
where water comes into play on 4 holes and makes the 4th hole
especially complicated. On the next 9 holes water intervenes mainly
on the 10th and 17th.

Cabopino Golf
The course is situated opposite the marina after
which it is named. The round is 5,170 metres long and has a par
of 71. It was designed by the Madrid architect Juan Ligués
and has spectacular views of the sea and the beautiful natural
surroundings, including a large number of magnificent spreading
pine trees.
The course consists of three par-3’s, two par-5’s,
and thirteen par-4’s. The longest hole is the 14th, a 456
metre par-5, and the shortest is the 13th, a par-3 which is 134
metres from the yellow tee. It is a course where those with a
high handicap will enjoy using all of the clubs in their bag and
lower handicaps will have to take a risk on every shot if their
want to get round with a good score.

Situated 14 Km from Marbella in a valley surrounded

Flamingos Golf
The Flamingos Golf Club is situated in one of the

The course at the Flamingos Golf Club The stream "Arroyo

Situated 7 km from Malaga airport, Guadalhorce Club
de Golf has an 18-hole course divided into two very distinct areas:
from the 1st to the 9th the fairways are flat with no major hazards;
but from the 9th to the 18th the course gets quite tricky –
the terrain is more uneven, the greens are raised and the fairways
are more difficult.

La Duquesa Golf
Situated in the municipality of Manilva, in Malaga
province, the course at the “Club de Golf La Duquesa”
is very varied which makes it enjoyable for players of all levels.
The course is divided into two clearly distinct parts. The first
nine holes follow the English style, with narrow fairways and
raised greens requiring accuracy and skilful play. However, the
back nine holes are easier, the fairways are wider and allow you
to make up for some of the mistakes made on the first 9 holes,
which means players are usually satisfied with their overall performance.

Lauro Golf

is named after a famous bullfighter.

Los Arqueros golf
The Los Arqueros Golf Course is situated less than
an hour from the international airports of Malaga and Gibraltar,
and is only 10 minutes from Marbella. It was the first golf course
to be designed by Severiano Ballesteros. As its designer himself
says, Los Arqueros is a good course for players of all kinds -
a reasonable challenge for the average golfer and a gruelling

Monte Mayor Golf Club
This is quite hilly and uneven terrain, so it is
advisable to take a cart. The topographical conditions make it
difficult and at the same time attractive to play on, since it
shows a natural and wild face.
Various bridges link fairways and tees. The hilly nature of the
course will attract many players. The 7th hole is on a plateau
with a lake next to the green. Along the course, precipices, slopes
and fauna such as eagles, vultures or deer might pop up to add
even more excitement to the game.

Rio Real Golf
El Club de Golf Río Real is in a superb location,
just 3 km from Marbella city centre. It is built on terrain which
slopes gently down to the sea, so many of the holes provide magnificent
views of the Mediterranean. The course is not particularly rugged
and it crosses four times the river which gives the Club and the
Hotel their name. In general the greens are quite flat, very well
maintained and protected by the surrounding bunkers. The 4th is
especially worth mentioning due to its outstanding beauty and
its fairway which runs down towards the beach. The 10th, a dogleg
to the right, leads out onto the spectacular tee of the 11th,
where you have a great view down onto the green which is situated
on the other side of the river

Santana Golf
Santana Golf & Country Club is an 18-hole par-72 course of
approximately 6,308 metres in length, running over 55 hectares
of smooth terrain.
It was not necessary for the architect, Cabell B. Robinson, to
make big changes in the arrangement of the grounds, because the
original layout allowed for a straightforward solution to the
problems of design.
The end result has been a long course with wide, well-defined
fairways running over flat terrain, easy to walk round, and with
a strong presence of water all the way around.
