Zamora golf information
CAMPO DE GOLF VILLARRIN
The Villarrin golf course lies within the “Las
Lagunas de Villafacila” Natural Park which covers a total
area of 32,682 hectares. Building the course formed part of the
plan for the rational use of such open spaces for recreational,
educational and scientific purposes, it assisted conservation
and development, and it contributed to improving the quality of
life and the social facilities of the area.
The 9-hole Villarrin golf course is built on 24 hectares of natural
meadowland belonging to the Municipal Council of Villarín
de Campos (in the province of Zamora). It is long in shape and
is divided by the River Salado for a distance of more than 1,000
metres.
It was the first public golf course in the province
of Zamora and was built with public funds.
