CITY MUSEUM
Plaza Angustias:
Set in the place of the former Junterones Palace. It shows 2000 years of the city’s history.
FINE ARTS MUSEUM
Obispo Frutos: Spanish painting from the 16th to the 20th century. Eminent artists both from this and other Regions.
SCIENCE AND WATER MUSEUM
With water as its main theme, it also has a children’s planetarium, perception modules, and temporary and theme exhibitions.
RAMÓN GAYA MUSEUM
Set in a lovely town house, the Casa Palarea, it holds a collection of the works of one of the best contemporary Murcian painters. Sketches, posters, writings and an anthological selection of paintings of both Gaya´s and other painter’s works.
ARCHEOLOGICAL MUSEUM
Gran Vía de Alfonso X: Exhibits from the best archaeological sites in the Region. Burial artefacts, pottery and tools from the culture, Iberian collections.
LOS MOLINOS DEL RIO IRRIGATION MUSEUM
Plaza de los Molinos: On the banks of the River Segura, it Lodz the largest flourmill in Spain with all the machinery and equipment used for flour milling as well as rooms for temporary exhibitions.
BULLFIGHTING MUSEUM OF MURCIA
Francisco Rabal, 3: Founded in 1919, it contains posters, bullfighter’s costumes and the heads of famous bulls¡¡, it also has a specialist library and video collection.
THE CHURCH OF SAN JUAN DE DIOS
Eulogio Soriano, 4: 18th century church taken over as a museum. Permanent exhibitions of religious images from the 16th. to 19th, centuries. Wood- carvings from various schools.
CATHEDRAL MUSEUM
Plaza de la Cruz, 2: Gothic paintings, church plate 15th. Century wood- carvings and impressive examples of bas-relief’s.
ARCHICOFRADIA DE LA SANGRE MUSEUM
Princesa, 27: A permanent exhibition of religious paintings by Nicolas de Bussy, Rose Lopez and others, belonging to the “Preciosísima Sangre” Fraterny.
LAS CLARAS ARTS CENTRE
Santa Clara, 1: Build en the remains of the Islamic husing from the 12th. In addition, 13th. Centuries. It skill keeps the wood cannel in one of its rooms.
REGIONALA CRAFT CENTRE
Actor Francisco Rabal, 6: the local Murcia architect Juan Antonio Molina has designed a modern purpose-built hall, which is beautifully finished so that the most outstanding work of artisans and women from all over the Region of Murcia may be on permanent display. Handwork is also on sale.
CASINO DE MURCIA
Trapería, 18: Nineteenth century building. Different architectural styles inspire a neorocco ballroom, a Moorish patio, a Greek courtyard or the English Grand Saloon, among others. Paintings and sculpture within.
LAS VERONICAS GALLERY
Iglesia de las Veronicas/n: A former church built as part of the 18th century “Las Veronicas” convent, it now houses temporary exhibitions.
ALMUDI PALACE ARTS CENTRE
Plano de San Francisco,8: Housed in an eighteen century building originally the city ´s corn store, the local Arts centre has two exhibition halls. The town ´s Historical Archives are to be found here too.
