Vitoria - Gasteiz City
Vitoria is the capital of Álava and, since 1980 also of the Basque Autonomous Region. It is a very complete and open city that combines both the past and the present and offers numerous possibilities for visitors.
But above all Vitoria is a city on a human scale. The atmosphere out on the streets, in its parks and gardens, the ease with which you can move around inside the city, its magnificent surroundings and the nature of its inhabitants make it the ideal setting for hosting incentive trips.
The winners of your incentive trips will be able to meander through its Gothic, Medieval, Renaissance and Romantic quarters and discover its pedestrian areas, cycle lanes and green areas.
You could easily spend a whole day visiting interesting museums such as the Fournier Card Museum, the Fine Art and Religious Art Museums or, very shortly, the Basque Museum of Convitoria- temporary Art. Or why not simply get to know the city itself as an open-air museum full of plazas, parks and gardens. Sculptures such as "El Torero" (The bullfighter) and "El Caminante" (the walker) will be there during your stroll.
As well as all of this, Vitoria-Gasteiz has an enviable on-going cultural programme. Two of the best-known events are the Jazz Festival and the International Theatre Festival. Can you imagine taking all your guests to a session with Chic Corea. Manhattan Transfer or the unbeatable Bobby Mc Ferrin?
And if you are interested in shopping,
why not discover the charms of the city’s second-hand shops,
antique dealers and galleries in the old quarter or the modern
and very attractive shops that crowd out the city centre. It’s
your choice
