Yuso and Suso: Human Heritage
We will visit Yuso and Suso Monasteries, birthplace of Castilian
language. These are very important monuments.
Recently declared Human Heritage. Behind these important walls Gonzalo de Berceo (poet from La Rioja) elogized "El bon vino de Rioja" (Good Rioja´s Wine); The first words in Old Castilian were written there; San Felices and San Millan's relics and the bodies without head of Seven infants of Lara are sheltered there too.

Knowing a cellar in this area, tasting the food and the well appreciated
wines of La Rioja will help to stimulate the interest of getting
to know Santo Domingo de la Calzada; The Cathedral and its separated
tower, the house of the Saint and its hospital of pilgrims, today
Parador (stated-owned hotel) of Santo Domingo; They are historical
monuments from Jacobean and medieval origins.
We will finish our route, with a walk around the old streets and walls, the church of San Francisco and the Convent of the Bernardas.
