The pieces in this museum are distributed among four buildings:
the convent of Santo Domingo, and Sarmiento, Castro Monteagudo
and García Flórez palaces.

Museo Municipal de Minerales
The museum was opened in 1997 and has an attractive collection
of more than 3,000 pieces, spread over themed areas such as: geology,
minerals, astronomy, anthropology, marine biology and paleontology.
It is located in the centre of Porriño. The museum has
minerals from the five Continents and an interesting exhibition
of extraterrestrial minerals from the remains of impacted meteorites.

Museo Municipal de Vigo "Quiñones
de León"
A tour of Galician and art and a 'pazo' (Galician country house).
Installed in the Galician country house of the 17th century, the
museum surrounded by beautiful gardens with fountains and ponds.

Museo de Arte Contemporáneo de Vigo
This museum, situated in the centre of Vigo, has collections containing
a broad range of contemporary art from many different disciplines:
plastic arts, architecture, video, internet art, design and fashion.
The centre has three main lines of exhibitions: one with national
and international exhibits related to contemporary art and culture;
another that encourages research and the recovery of avant-garde
Galician authors and movements; and a third dedicated to new artists.
Frequent talks, conferences and audiovisual displays are held
in the museum’s lecture hall.
