Pollença Coastline
- PORT OF POLLENÇA:
The Port of Pollença is one of the main tourist enclaves in Mallorca, and it is the second most populated area in the municipality. At the back of a wide bay there is the “Fortalesa” (fortress) protected by the “Punta de l´Avançada”, it was built in 1624 and nowadays is a private property. Port de Pollença combines modern tourist opportunities and it is an ideal place to practice all kinds of nautical sports and to enjoy nature.
- CALA SANT VICENÇ:
Is the third most populated area and it is important to emphasize its quietness and its wonderful views, the “Cavall Bernat” stands out and at its feet there is a group of inlets of light and crystalline waters: “Cala Barques”, “Cala Clara”, “Cala Molins” and “Cala Carbó”. There is as well a group of seven prehistoric caves, “L´Alzinerest”, belonging to the Mediterranean Bronze Age.
- FORMENTOR:
It is one of the most wonderful and most visited places in our island, a meeting place of intellectuals, politicians and artists. From Formentor and following the road that takes us to the lighthouse, we find inlets of incomparable beauty, “Cala Figuera”, on the left, “Cala Murta” and “Cala en Gossalba”, on the right. The road ends at Formentor´s lighthouse, northern extreme of the island of Mallorca. A visit to “El Mirador del Colomer” and “La Talaia d´Albercuix” is a must.
